Aaron Sweeney
Aaron Sweeney is the founder of Talis Consulting Group. Aaron brings more than 20 years of staffing sales and recruiting experience. He has worked in all aspects of the technical recruiting industry including full desk, full lifecycle recruiting along with National Sales team management and Recruiting team leadership. Aarons sales experience spans working with a wide breadth of customers that range from early stage startups, a large variety of well-known mid-market companies as well as larger Fortune 500 companies. As a recruiter, he has built long lasting relationships with thousands of job seekers and passive candidates. Aaron has built a foundation of trust and loyalty with candidates and customers alike. Nighty-five percent of his business comes from client and candidate referrals.
Aaron started Talis in the summer of 2008 during one of the most challenging economic times in US history. While there were many sleepless nights and plenty of opportunities to second guess his choices, he soon came to realize it was the best decision he could have ever made. Owning your business is not for everyone but the accountability, responsibility and personal growth makes Aaron feel 100% alive and he’s passionate about helping people navigate towards careers they love. While driving new business is always important, Aaron prefers taking a sharpshooter vs. shotgun approach, always taking the time to find the best possible staffing solutions for his customers, and the best possible fit for job seekers.
Aaron began his career in staffing at Aerotech. Within one week of being hired he maintained the highest fill ratio (candidate placements/weeks employed) for 9 months across all technical divisions in Washington. Aaron later worked in staffing for Excell Data where he broke many of the company wide records in the Seattle market. He was quickly promoted and relocated to the Bay Area to build that office and territory from the ground up. In 2002 Aaron helped Co-found Wimmer Solutions. Aaron spent 2003 – 2008 with Redmond Technology Partners where he grew their non-Microsoft staffing annual revenue by 900%.
Prior to his career in recruiting, Aaron worked in sales for a major telco carrier and lived and worked abroad for a year in South Korea. Aaron received a B.S. Degree in business from Eastern Washington University. He was college Athlete and 4-year letterman for EWU football team. He lives in Issaquah with his family.
Aaron’s interests include camping, hiking with his family, reading, riding his Harley, and attending Seahawks games. Aaron is passionate about helping kids stay active and invests time coaching youth sports in his community.
