Sr. Software Engineer
Talis Consulting Group is recruiting Sr. Software Engineers for a fast-growing data security company in Bellevue, Washington. This role offers you the chance to contribute to and spearhead the development of NEW PRODUCTS within a suite of data and cybersecurity solutions. You’ll be part of a global team of software engineers delivering mission-critical solutions that help protect thousands of businesses worldwide.
In this role, you will work on cutting-edge technology, leverage AI and machine learning, and develop solutions on AWS, GCP, Azure, or other public cloud platforms. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud SaaS software products. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and execution, driving both innovation and customer satisfaction.
Founded in 2012, this organization has experienced tremendous growth over the past 18 months, doubling in size from 70 to 140 employees. They focus on the SMB sector and currently partner with over 5,000 transacting managed service providers for their go-to-market efforts.
Candidates must be authorized to work and reside in the United States (Citizens or Green Card Holders only); we do not currently sponsor immigration visas.
Location:
Hybrid work model (2 to 3 days per week in the Bellevue office).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable cloud SaaS software solutions.
- Focus on building a brand-new product that expands our portfolio, requiring strong experience in early-stage product development (version 0 to 1).
- Work in a lean, startup mode with fast iterations and quick prototyping to demonstrate product feasibility.
- Collaborate in a highly agile environment, emphasizing value delivery and rapid iteration.
- Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and deliver high-quality products.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure quality product releases.
- Learn from continuous iterations, pivot engineering efforts as needed, and develop valuable features that may evolve into core products.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on trends and technologies in cybersecurity and software development.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Experience in cybersecurity, with familiarity in current trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies, particularly as they apply to cybersecurity solutions.
- Proven ability to develop and launch cybersecurity products or features.
- Strong experience with version 0 to 1 development, demonstrating the ability to design and build new products from scratch.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred but not required.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining cloud SaaS software products.
- Proficient programming skills in languages such as Go/Golang, Python, Java, C#, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Willingness to travel short-term for partner meetings, events, or product demonstrations. (This is less than 10%)
- Experience working in a global engineering environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation:
- Software Engineer $120 – $150K
- Sr Software Engineer $150 – $180K*
- Bonus (Annual) based on personal performance
- Equity (performance shares)
*Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience
