Software Engineer

We are currently recruiting a fulltime Software Development Engineer’s for a local area leading provider of data analysis services that serves the Risk. Mgmt. Industry. Our client helps first responders and insurers work smarter by providing unbiased, accurate data and information to evaluate risk.

Primary responsibilities include software development (creating, enhancing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and testing) our Windows and web applications using .Net and other technologies. You will have latitude in developing solutions to complex problems, and will be expected to provide expertise in development & testing best practices and methodologies. You will work on a collaborative agile development team, and in addition to your strong individual contributions, you will provide advice and assistance to team members, as needed, to help in continually improving the productivity and quality of the team.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C#, JavaScript, or Java, including object-oriented design (C# preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
  • 2+ years working on full stack development
  • 1+ years working with React, Angular, Vue, or similar frontend technologies
  • Familiarity with relational databases and schema design
  • 2+ years of experience building and deploying cloud-scale products in a professional capacity
  • 2+ years writing unit/integration tests
  • Experience in at least one of the top cloud providers, preferably Azure
  • Familiarity with logging and alerting practices, ex: Azure Application Insights
  • Experience with continuous delivery, automated deployments, and related engineering practices
  • Agile practitioner, able to deliver products iteratively
  • Able to develop code independently or as part of a pair programming team
  • Get along well with others and thrive in a collaborative environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

PERKS

  • This position is 100% remote.
  • Schedule Flexibility. Currently many engineers are mapping to 9×8:45’s and taking every other Friday off.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary for SDE I, SDE II, SDE III falls with this range 105k – 163K
  • 22 Days PTO +9 holidays+2 floaters
  • 401 (k) Plan – matches 100% of your contribution, up to a maximum of 6% of your wages
  • Unused vacation can be rolled over each year.
